The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be the biggest edition of FIBA's flagship event with a record 32 participating teams. In its 18th edition, the tournament will be hosted in China and will mark a new era for the competition as described. Guangzhou has been confirmed as one of the eight host cities for 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup from August to September 2019. Other host cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dongguan.
