Youth Watercolor Painting and Pastel Exhibition opened in Chongqing

The first “Colorful Gongtan” - Youth Watercolor Painting and Pastel Exhibition was debuted at Chongqing FLAC Museum of Art. The exhibition is opened for free to the public from November 14th to November 29th. During the exhibition, 117 works of watercolor and pastel are displayed.

 

According to the director of Watercolor Committee of Chongqing Artists Association and a professor at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, Liu Mingming, approximate 20 works depicting Youyang Gongtan from the exhibition, showcased the history and culture of the Gongtan Ancient Town and from it people can see the multiple ways and modes when artists depicting the scenery.

 

Chongqing Artists Association has started accepting art works for exhibition, which depicting the changing era, natural scenes and cultural customs from young painters of watercolor and pastel since July this year. And in several months, over 300 works had been submitted, by amateurs, teachers as well as students from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and Southeast University.
