Xi’an City Wall Lantern Festival kicks off on-site and online

February 4th 2021 is the Preliminary Eve as a tradition in northern area of China. As an important cultural highlight of Xi’an, the Xi’an City Wall Lantern Festival has launches on this day. 
 
The Ancient City Wall in Xi’an is the completely preserved city wall in ancient China. The Lantern Festival of Xi’an on the Ancient City Wall has been held for 33 sessions since 1984. 
 
In addition to watching the numerous decorated lanterns on-site, the festival this year also adds online live for convenience. People from different regions could have special AR interactive experience by watching the lantern show online.
 
Colorful lanterns with various shapes decorate the night views in Xi’an in a happy feast. For years, the City Wall Lantern Festival has been a must-see event with families during the Spring Festival. 
 
From February 4th, another two popular attractions- Tang Dynasty Everbright City Scenic Area and Daming Palace National Heritage Park have also launched the feast of lanterns.
