Tibetan Airlines to Operate its First Flight in July

Tibetan Airlines is scheduled to launch its first flight in July. It will focus on air service between Lhasa and major Chinese cities.
 

The Lhasa-Beijing route will be operated when the first A319 aircraft is handed over in July. And Lhasa-Shanghai and Lhasa-Chengdu routes will also be launched in August and September. In 2012 it will consider to launch three new routes to major cities in Tibet, including Nyingchi, Shigatse and Nagqu.


Established on August, 2010, Tibetan Airline is the first airline based in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet Autonomous Region. All the planes will be modified to adapt to the plateau's environment.
