Direct flights between Shanghai and Mauritius are scheduled to operate two times a week from January 2013 by Mauritius Air.
According to the authorities, the flights aim to promote the tourism ties between the relaxation resort of Mauritius and the ancient country of China.
As the frontier city off the eastern coastline of China, Shanghai combines modernity with history, represented by the European-style cityscapes and the sci-fi skyline with Old Residential Long Tang and old downtown area.
