According to the Chongqing Traffic Bureau, a new direct flight connecting Chongqing, the largest municipality in southwest China, and Paris, the capital of France, will open since December 19th. The flight is arranged to fly on every Wednesday and Saturday. By then, there will be six direct flights from Chongqing to Europe.
The Chongqing - Paris direct flight will be operated by Airbus A330 wide-body passenger aircraft of Hainan Airlines. The departure time in Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is 01:30 Beijing time. The arrival time in Charles de Gaulle Airport is 06:20 local time. The return flight will leave at 13:00 local time in Paris, and arrive in Chongqing at 06:30 Beijing time next day. The one-way flight time is about 12 hours.
Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has a total of 295 air routes, including 63 international passenger routes that connect Chongqing to 57 cities in 24 countries on 5 continents. It is estimated that some 100 international flights will be available in 2020, further contributing Chongqing as an international flight hub.
