A new direct route between China and Portugal was inaugurated in Lisbon, linking Hangzhou and Lisbon via Beijing.
The first direct flight will start from Hangzhou, capital city of Zhejiang Province, with a stopover in Beijing before heading to Lisbon. It will be carried out by airplane A330-20 on July 25. There are three flights between Portugal and China per week.
The opening of the first direct flight route between Portugal and China is significant for two countries in terms of tourism, trade and cultural communication, according to Antonio Costa, Portuguese Prime Minister.
