China’s first Hello Kitty theme restaurant featuring famous Japanese cartoon character Hello Kitty opened in Beijing’s Sanlitun area last week.
Unlike other Hello Kitty theme restaurants in Asia, which only coffee and desserts, the Beijing restaurant offers more food choices: aperitif, appetizer, salad, soup and so on.
Hello Kitty restaurants, bringing the brand of the world-famous cartoon figure created by Japanese company Sanrio in 1974, currently operate across East Asia, in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
