Guiyang and Phuket to be linked by 9 Air

On January 11th, 9 Air opens the direct flight between Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou Province in the southwest of China and Phuket, a popular tourist destination in Thailand. The direct flight takes about 3.5 hours and is expected to boost bilateral trade, tourism, and exchanges between the two cities. 

 

The outbound flight AQ1201 departs from Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport at 22:05 Beijing time on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday each week. It arrives in Phuket International Airport at 00:30 (+1) local time. The return flight AQ1202 takes off from Phuket at 01:30 local time on every Monday, Thursday and Saturday, and it lands in Guiyang at 06:55 Beijing time.

 

Guiyang City locates on the eastern side of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. Guiyang is regarded as an ecological model on Karst Landform due to its plentiful Karst caves. Guiyang is home to more than 30 minority ethnic groups including, Miao, Buyi, Dong and Hui. Consequently, it abounds with unique folk culture and traditions that give rise to colorful ethnic minority activities.
