New flights between Hohhot, capital of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Nagoya in Japan will be launched on June 30 by China’s biggest low-cost airlines, the Spring Airlines.

The Airbus 320 aircraft will be used in the first international route between Inner Mongolia and Japan via north China's Shijiazhuang. The flights run four times a week on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

The Hohhot-Nagoya flight will depart at 20:25 and land in Nagoya at 01:45 via one-hour stay in Shijiazhuang. The return flight will take off at 13:50 and arrive in Hohhot at 19:25 with a brief stopover.

Hohhot with a long history and rich cultural heritage is the birthplace of Chinese civilization. The name of the city in Mongolian means "Blue City" while the color blue in Mongol culture is associated with the sky, eternity and purity. The ethnic Mongol culture and unique natural sceneries draw people to visit the beautiful city in north China.
