On Aug 16 and 17 2013, a dance drama named Confucius was staged at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing. The drama features Confucius and his stories with his students.
His direct descendant wrote and directed this dance drama to narrate his journey 2,500 years ago, when this great Chinese sage traveled to 14 states with his students to spread his ideas. The director focuses on the stories Confucius encountered during his travel instead of recounting the philosophies he distilled from the experience.
