Beijing opens War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression Exhibition

In order to mark the 81st anniversary of the start of China's comprehensive defense against the Japanese invasion, the exhibition on the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression opened on July 7th in Beijing. It will last until March 2019.

 

The theme of the exhibition this year is “Great Resistance, Great Spirit”. Museum of the War of Chinese People’s Resistance against Japanese Aggression and 21 resistance-themed museums jointly organized the exhibition. More than 120 photos and 281 cultural relics including 27 National First Grade cultural relics are showed to the public in Museum of the War of Chinese People’s Resistance against Japanese Aggression.

 

The relics are showed through various mediums. An audio-visual version of the items is provided at the exhibition. Also, songs about China's defense against Japanese aggression can be played, and the letters from 32 heroes can be read by scanning the QR code.

 

On July 7th, 1937, the first shot of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression rang out beside the Lugou Bridge, which raised the curtain for all-out war of aggression against China. The Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression was the important part of the WWII. Through the exhibition, people can review the hard course of the bloody battles against Japanese aggression and feel the great spirit of the Chinese nation.
