Air China launched new direct flight between Beijing and Athens on Sep 30, marking the first direct flight between China and Greece.

 

Air China plans to operate two direct flights per week on Wednesday and Saturday. Airbus A330-200 aircraft operates the flight from Beijing to Athens.

 

Flight CA863 takes off from Beijing at 02:30 arrives in Athens at 08:15. Return flight CA864 flies back from Athens at 14:15 and lands in Beijing at 04:30 next day. The new route reduces the travel time between Beijing and Athens to just 10 hours.

 

Air China offers the largest selection of routes between China and Europe. The new Beijing-Athens service will bring the total number of routes to 26, with an offering of 300 flights per week to 19 major European destinations.
