Visa-free Policy to Boost Tourism of Guangdong Province

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is authorized by the state council to issue 72-hour transit visa from June this year. Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province is the third city authorized to issue 72-hour transit visa after Beijing and Shanghai.

 

 

The policy is under expectation to greatly boost local tourism and promote the local culture of Guangdong Province. The Guangzhou tourism authority has identified some routes focusing on famous sites in Guangdong Province. To develop high-end short tours, the authority has also called on local tourism agencies to plan tailored routes for foreign visitors.
