At 9 o'clock on November 3, the 55571 test EMUs departed from Xi'an North Station. The operation diagram parameter test of the Xi'an North-Qingyang section began, and the Xi'an-Yinchuan high-speed railway officially entered into the trial operation stage. Starting from today, China Railway Xi'an Bureau Group Co., Ltd. plans to use one month to conduct an operation test on the Xi’an-Yinchuan high-speed railway.

In order to ensure the smooth progress of the trial operation of the Xi'an-Yinchuan high-speed railway, the Xi'an Railway Administration has used two months to organize the transportation, passenger transportation, machinery, power supply, public works, electricity, vehicles, etc. The administration will dynamically detect line tracks, roadbeds, bridges, tunnels, communications, and signal equipment, and fine-tune facilities and equipment based on the monitoring conditions.

The construction of the Xi’an-Yinchuan high-speed railway started at the end of 2015, with a total length of 618 kilometers, of which the Shaanxi section is 193 kilometers in length and the Ganning section is 425 kilometers in length. The design speed is 250 km/h. The construction period is 5 years, and there are 20 stations along the whole railway, which are expected to be put into operation by the end of this year. By then, the railway from Xi'an to Yinchuan will be shortened from the current 14 hours to about 3 hours.
