Noble bronze relics to display in Shanghai

A great exhibition of bronze relics are displayed at Shanghai Museum, many of them has a history of 3,000 years. The exhibition runs from Nov, 2014 to Mar, 2015.

 

In this collection of bronze wares from noble families, 115 pieces were unearthed in 2012 at an archeological site in Baoji, Shaanxi province and are being presented to the public for the first time, and there are 19 pieces from Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and 1 piece from Tianjin Museum.

 

The exhibition has been named after two of the exhibits. They are wine vessels called zun and they are in the shape of the deer; one is 43 centimeters tall, and the other smaller at 32.5 centimeters in height. Each stands on a rotating table so that visitors can observe them from all angles.
