Haikou is known as the 'Coconut City' in Hainan Province, which is China's second largest island. Haikou features beautiful sunshine, crystal water and soft sand. Hainan has the visa-free policy with a validity of 30 days, which is available for foreign travelers holding ordinary passports issued by the 59 qualifying countries. Also, the tour to Hainan needs to be organized by a local travel agency in Hainan.

The opening of the Haikou - Cheongju air route will be more convenient for the traveling of passengers from both places, it will also help to enrich the air route network layout of Hainan. In the second half of this year, Haikou Meilan International Airport also plans to open more international flights to Busan, Ho Chi Minh, etc, which will help to expand the Hainan tourism market.
