The first nonstop air route between Nanjing and Los Angeles will soon be launched on June 30, according to China Eastern Airlines. It is also the longest route launched in Nanjing Lukou International Airport.

The Nanjing-LA flights will fly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The direct route takes about 15 hours to land the destination. The LA-Nanjing flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The new air route is expected to bring convenience and promote the Sino-US communication.

The Chinese government has encouraged the country's airlines to expand international markets. Sino-US flights are increasing at a rapid rate for the massive need of international trade, tourism and education.

Nanjing, located in Yangtze River Delta economic zone in Eastern China, is a prominent place in Chinese history and culture as Nanjing is the capital city of six different dynasties in ancient times. Nanjing has long been a national centre of education, research, transport networks and tourism. Nanjing mixes rich cultural heritages and flourishing economy together, attracting visitors and businessmen around the world.
