Kunming to Dali high-speed train opened on July 1st

Kunming to Dali high-speed train officially started operation on July 1st, which cut travelling time from six hours (regular train) to only two hours. China Railway Kunming Bureau is operating 29.5 pairs of high speed trains from Kunming to Dali everyday with an average interval of 25 minutes. With a speed of 200 km/h, the fastest running time is about 112 minutes.

 

From Kunming to Dali, the high-speed rail passes along Chuxiong, Nanhua, Xiangyun and other eight stations. Passengers travelling from Kunming to Dali can get on the high-speed train at Kunming Railway Station or Kunming South Railway Station. 

 

Situated on a fertile plain between the Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, Dali was the capital of Yunnan for five centuries when the city governed its own affairs. Now, as a tourist hotspot of Southwest China, it is renowned for its peaceful scenery and the colorful Bai ethnic culture that dominates there.
