Beijing Capital Airport to Carry 2.35 mln Passengers in Golden Week

Beijing Capital International Airport is expected to carry 2.35 million passengers during the upcoming National Day holiday. Known as the “Golden Week” in China, the holiday lasts from Oct.1 to Oct.7.

 

According to the official, the airport will deal with on average 235,000 passengers per day during the holiday, an increase of 7.15 per cent compared with the same period in 2010

 

The airport has initiated emergency response measures to ensure the safe, smooth and orderly transport of passengers. All the airport's security check gates will be brought into service to shorten waiting times during the rush hour of the holiday.

 

During the holiday time, airport stores will extend business hours, the number of airport shuttle buses will be increased, and the management of taxis will be strengthened to ensure the timely departure of all passengers.
